The Continental Divide is a geographis destination indicating the place that water separates and joins one of the great riviers originating in the High Country of Colorado. Snow and rain falling on the Monarch Pass area eventually goes into the Arkansas River system (Atlantic) or the Gunnisen Colorado River system (Pacific).
