Postcards 18 & 19

Pierwsza kartka przedstawia Plac Świętego Piotra w Watykanie.

Druga kartka z Capri. Mama przepływała obok wysp ukazanych na wizytówkach. Jedna z nich, ta z dziurką w środku, nazywana jest wyspą kochanków.
Two gifts from my mom, who went for a coach trip to Italy.
First one from Saint Peter's Square in Vatican City. Did you know that the obelisk, which stands in the middle of the square, came from the Circus of Nero. There was a golden ball on the top of it, which contained the ashes of Julius Caesar.
The second postcard my mom bought after her boat trip around those little islands. One of them, that with the hole in the middle, is called the lover's island.
